Steele`s Dive in Tupelo

Steele's is a very large evening bar that turns into a buffet during the day. I've never been at night, but I'm told it can get "exciting". The lunch buffet is always good. Usually the same types of food (meat and two veggies with chicken strips, dressing, or hamburger steak to choose from). I would suggest it because it is easy to get in and out of if in a hurry. And the food is always good.

Food service staff serving food lacks personality. Lyrica was sweet waitress. Not for sure how they price their food. 2 veggies and meat and water was the same as a friend who had 2 veggies, meat, dessert, bread and salad and tea. Food tasty.

Very nice place. Optional on seating arrangements, we seat in the bar area. Waiters was nice and the gator bites was on point along with a 16oz Rib eye. The booth seats were to low. A very nice atmosphere

I can't recommend this place. We had a 5:30 reservation, were seated immediately, but our food did not come to the table until 7:15. We were given excuse after excuse why the food was taking so long. It's bar food. Burgers and fries. Very minimal prep and cook time style food. Knowing we were from out of town, management did not seem to be empathetic to our poor service at all. The food was not terrible, but not good either. Definitely not worth waiting nearly 2 hours for.

Great place to get a plate lunch

Dee was the server for our group of 8 who all showed up at different times because of commuter issues. She was very sweet about it and kept our bar drinks coming, each was made correctly too! 4 of us ended up having appetizers that she recommended and we're very satisfying. By the time our last member was able to make it we were feeling very at home. No pool tables as someone else had said there are but no big loss. There was a live band on a random Wednesday night too and they sounded good from the back.

Not a fan. The band was ok. The food was cold when I got it. I know there is a 35 min wait on tickets but at least keep it warm before serving. Service was good, waitress was very attentive. For all the non smokers you have the front of the establishment, However the entire back where the band is located IS smoking allowed.

I ordered a grilled chicken salad for $12.10 plus tax through Tupelo to Go. I received a salad with minimal lettuce, one slice of cucumber, a half of a slice of egg, no cheese, chicken, and ranch. It was by no means a $12 salad. By the stretch of imagination, it COULD be a side salad. I contacted Steele's directly to advise them of this disappointing salad. Instead of addressing my concern and disappointed, they blamed Tupelo To Go. The only reason I game them 1 star is because it will not allow me to leave the stars blank.

I have to say they definitely have the best service and selection in the area. You can't go wrong no matter what you order.

WORST experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We were one of three tables with customers, it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food which was cold and incorrect. Manager comes out and is so rude! She yelled at us and said we were wrong. And the burger they took back to correct, was heated up in a microwave and brought right back out with the same wrong stuff on it? And the manager Lisa still made some of the people in my group pay for their food. She was so rude the entire time. This place is trash. And the food is gross once you finally get it after waiting an hour an 15 minutes.

Great food, friendly staff. We did the lunch buffet. Fresh and hot. Four adults ate a home cooked meal for under $40.

Food wait time was over a hour and a half. Which we was not informed of before ordering. Steak was over cooked, and cold, shrimp po-boy was very dry and just not very good. Music and beer was good! Waitress could have been way better.

Great food. Great beer selection. Live music. What else could you ask for ? Go check it out you will not be disappointed

Wonderful apps. Best fried crawfish tails in town. Great burgers. Good selection of beers and spirits. Very friendly atmosphere during lunch hours and the evening party is always a lot of fun.

Not a bad bar if you are coming in just for a drink or two. However, if you're wanting to come in for food that will blow you away, that's not the case here. Food is pretty standard and will fill you up, and is nothing special.If you are just wanting a old fashion dive bar to go to, this would be the place.

Visiting Mississippi for this super treat chose blooming onion, spring rolls and barbeque egg rolls. Excellent food, service was very quick and everyone were friendly and helpful

Worse service ever! I had asked for a suggestion of what to eat, since I couldn't make my mind up. My server suggested the buffalo style chicken nachos. My nachos barely had meat or cheese, on it. I asked for something else, since I wasn't pleased with my selection that the server recommended. I was told, "WE DO NOT SEND FOOD BACK." I was like okay, but I was told that the chicken would be shredded. It wasn't. I was extremely disappointed and not happy. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE. If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! Food was not good at all. The second picture is what they served me, in the restaurant. The first picture is what I did to it, when I got home. This is a big difference, I could have made this better, at home. Save your money!

They had amazing food here. On Sundays I have a buffet that is out of this world is home cooking. The staff is so good. if you enjoy yourself social scene Thursday Friday and Saturday nights they absolutely have it going on with great bands each of those nights. I love being able to sit him the screened-in back porch. Even in the winter you can sit there because they turn heaters on and it's still comfortable. If you haven't met yet I absolutely recommend you go soon!

The food came out hot and ready to eat, but...they don't know how to serve the customer. We did order simple entrees but when they brought the appetizer, the came right out behind it with our entrees. Not as asked. I won't go back unless it's with a party.

My wife and I live in Oxford and in traveling to Tupelo often pass this restaurant and view with amassment the large number of cars present. Today we stopped in the afternoon and had an outstanding meal. The service was great and our server gave us several recommendations since it was our first visit. The food was great, the inside was spotless, and the restroom was spotless. It was a great experience and we will be returning.

Very great experience! Staff was nice and warm and the food was great! I chose the fried crawfish tails for an appetizer and the 12 oz Sirloin (medium) for my entree.

Great bar, place to go for great food, music and fun. Staff is friendly. Back porch is fun and the place to go for live music. Will definitely be back.

We just had our 10 year class reunion at this location. It was a great decision. Steele’s Dive has an inviting atmosphere that allowed our group of 60 to socialize, reconnect, relax, and celebrate all at once. This business is staffed with people who are very well trained. Steele’s is lucky to have such a professional staff. Throughout the planning process and party, the managers and staff were more than attentive to every person’s wants and concerns. Special thank you to Steele’s managers, servers, and bartenders who works our reunion. Lisa, Tiffany, Dee, Madison, and Harley, y’all hustled all night. Thank you for an amazing experience.

This place is amazing. Seriously! The food is perfect, and the staff is so accommodating, I can't even explain how sweet and nice the staff was to us. We had family in from out of town and they stayed open for us. They literally granted a Christmas wish for us without even knowing. 10/10 recommend!! Adam, our bartender was fun and just so nice. I can't remember her name, but there was a waitress with pretty purple hair and she was the nicest person ever. Great family place, with a personable staff!!
